I (Want)
By Leylia
You told me all you wanted was the truth, I told you all I wanted was the same. You thought my friends were horribly uncouth, I thought yours were villainous and vain. All I wanted was to be your friend. Foolishly I thought you'd want that too. You never wanted what we were to end, You wanted me to stay a part of you. "Want" is far too strong, I must confess. Over "love" and "need" it stands above. Power to destroy, and to undress, Power to prolong such empty love. Now our future eats away our past, And I never really wanted us to last.found this unfinished from a while ago...thought i'd give it another shot. thanks for reading Written January 27th, 2002 © on Jan 27 2002 02:54 PM PST 0 • 10
