I (Want)

By Leylia

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

You told me all you wanted was the truth, I told you all I wanted was the same. You thought my friends were horribly uncouth, I thought yours were villainous and vain. Over "love" and "need" it stands above. Power to destroy, and to undress, Power to prolong such empty love. Now our future eats away our past, And I never really wanted us to last.found this unfinished from a while ago...thought i'd give it another shot. thanks for reading Written January 27th, 2002 © on Jan 27 2002 02:54 PM PST   0 • 10
