Curtain of Words
By Linrose
Your words brush past my ears – Whispering, like a gentle breeze; From my eyes, they draw a trickle of tears – Then travel through me as they please; Your words, tease and caress me – As they pass through my mind; Creating images of you, for me to see – Yet hidden, so I can only find – The ones which were a part – Of your mystery, but now revealed, As I come to know and cherish you in my heart; Yet, others remain sealed – From my probing view, Until such time, that we love as one; Then your words, will clearly undo – The ribbons of mystery and let the light of the sun – Dispel all fear, of being shown – As you really are; For our hearts will respond to the same tone – And who I am will shine for you, like a brilliant star; All words will fall away as gently as they came – No longer needed, for our souls will know, we are the same.Written on August 15, 1992 Written February 9th, 2002 © on Feb 09 2002 09:54 AM PST 0 • 8
