Shadow Love

By Linrose

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Your voice laps against my ears ~ A gentle tide of tender words; The rhythm of your fervent heart ~ Joins mine in sweet embrace. My eyes lock onto the radiant stars ~ To find, glowing within their depths ~ Yours, like phantoms flickering in the night ~ To sweep me up and follow your pace. In sleep, I feel your feathery touch ~ Soft against my cheek; I turn towards yours to feel your breath ~ Find only an empty space. Written April 15th, 1994 © on Oct 03 2001 04:35 PM PST   0 • 8
