The Cusp

By Linrose

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Heinous hounds of hell’s domain, Roam the Earth in search of game; Terror strikes in random places, Indifferent to the fearful faces. Sweeping gestures made by some, Echo hollow like a drum for victims of injustice care ~ Not for words but deeds of dare. Splendid soldiers of the Light, Enter night to fight the plight; Darkness shrouds the Earth awhile, Silence cracked by tensions’ bile. Swirls of smoke sear the calm, Clashes, chaos, surreal realm; Heaven and hell meet at Ground Zero, Fury peaks, awaits a hero. The hounds of hell are kept at bay, While heaven’s angels save the day; But clouds still loom above the Earth, As Evil seeks to forge a berth. Good and Evil are at crossroads, Earth at mercy of moon’s nodes; Cosmic winter falls upon us, Sword of cusp in Earth's heart thrust. Fearless fiends with heroes battle, Earth is shaken by death rattle ~ As Love and Hate are locked in war, Which will enter victory’s door?Written October 6th, 2001 © on Oct 06 2001 04:36 PM PST   abuse
