I saw a shivering homeless man on the street I wasn't ready for our eyes to meet, Then eye contact! Looking back I could have saved that man When I looked in those lifeless eyes I didn't care I didn't feel pity I made a joke about him to my friend - I thought I was witty Then I heard the old mans voice as I walked off laughing Please help me! I have been through bad things Who cares?! I found myself thinking. As I walked down the shopping street I heard a scream. An old women was getting mugged No one was helping. No one cared. To tell the truth neither did I, I heard a cry The mugger had punched the old women Now it was getting exciting I had to go over The women was they’re clutching her face Blood pouring from both eyes She was crying. Screaming and crying Who cares?! I found myself thinking. As we entered the music shop I was mocking the old women Oh my eye! I'm gonna die! Stupid bitch! I screeched Then I saw him - the old man had followed us into the shop. He came up to me and my friend and said he was shocked I pulled his beard and kicked his crotch Get out of here! Or I'm gonna smash your face in! I said acting the big man in front of my friend. The old man walked out - muttering under his breath I smirked I heard some comments and had some strange looks I didn't feel pity Who cares?! I found myself thinking My friend and me went down an ally I heard the footsteps of a gang behind me Then in front of us another gang That’s when I ran My friend wasn't so lucky Ten guys jumped him I saw a glint of a knife A split second later my friend lost his life I found myself laughing at the sight of the trickling blood I didn't cry I didn't feel sorrow I smiled and thought wait till his parent find out tomorrow Who cares?! I found my self thinking As I went for my bus the old man reappeared I could see him rubbing his beard Once again he put out his hand and begged for money I just found this so funny I laughed and pushed my way through As the homeless man shouted "WHY WONT YOU HELP YOUR DAD!?" I don't cares?! I found myself thinking.I have never wrote anything like this before so please give me tips/advice Written November 26th, 2001 © on Nov 26 2001 06:31 AM PST   0 • 1
