Girl of my dreams

By lonewolf joe

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Who knows what dreams may come In the time which lacks the sun Dreams of pleasure, those of pain Those of love, or just insane The best dreams that I have at night Are when I'm holding you so tight Underneath the moon and stars Upon a hill above the cars So high up we'd see the world Like land and sea for us unfurled But in this world we seem alone We need not ever use a phone To see each other we close our eyes We need not ever say good byes You lean close and whisper "I love you" But my alarm goes off 'fore I say "me too" Alas it was another dream Things aren't always what they seem One day I'll dream of you again I don't know where and I don't know when But those are the dreams I like the best It's those dreams that help me rest Some days to me it seems I'll meet the girl who's in my dreams Written March 8th, 2002 © on Mar 07 2002 11:10 PM PST   10 • 0 • 8
