I am...
I am an American I am a child I have my free opinion but I am yet not able to vote I am an American I am fifteen I am able to drive but I am yet not able to vote I am an American I am a Christian I am able to beleif in what I want but I am yet not able to vote I am an American I am a student I am able to learn about democracy but I am yet not able to vote I am an American I am a girl I am able to speak my mind without being shut away but I am yet not able to vote I am an American I am a black I am able to sit in the front of a bus without trouble but I am yet not able to vote My life is changed mostly by society but I am yet not able to vote... (written from a child's point of veiw)This is just my inky way of protesting to the age thing with voting...just my own personal opinion. And no I am not fifteen, I am not black, but I am an American. I basicly placed myself in another person's shoes but I am not that person. Sorry of any offences to anyone, if anyone has a problem I will remove the poem. If not, hope you enjoy. Written January 14th, 2002 © on Jan 14 2002 09:56 AM PST 10 • 0 • 9
