Something Light

She is an elf,    a little pixie in the night.        Appearing here,              and there to my delight. She laughs and laughs,    taunting me as she flies.        Sticks out her tongue,              and vanishes from my eyes. She comes right back,     on my shoulder trembling in fear.         Kisses my cheek               then giggles in my ear. She runs away,     before I return the kiss.          But she will be back,                I can be sure of this. She is my rose,      in a garden full of thorn.           Gives me hope,                 that life is not forlorn.
