Star Spider Web
By Mac
The stars were framed by woven leafless branches small pin pricks of light like miniature shining spiders amidst a tangled wooden web while the moon seems trapped dangling like a silver earring from a dark shapeless lobe as the spiders inch closer towards the hapless prey but the moon laughs sliver and shakes them off like fleas rising above the broken web as easy as you please and the fleas change back to spiders the spiders back to stars the wooden tangled web now leafless branches and I can only marvel at it all Written November 5th, 2001 © on Nov 05 2001 01:11 PM PST, RD McManes 0 • 10
