“The Hope of Tomorrow”

By Mac

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

I sit here wondering about the unknown awaiting the results of a nasal swab wondering what they will show and when I might return to the job Though I try to feel confident that all will turn out to be fine there’s always that doubt what future will be mine The waiting seems endless yet it’s only been a few days a drop in the bucket for most folks I’d say But still a long time when waiting the unknown wondering all the while what tests may have shown So here I sit waiting not knowing about tomorrow clinging to shining hope bright against the sorrow Written October 26th, 2001 © on Oct 26 2001 02:34 AM PST, RD McManes   18 • 0 • 13
