Starry Night

By Maikaheniel

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

(inspired by Van Gogh's "Starry Night") I awoke this midnight and touched the sky as it twisted the colors escaping from the surface of the sun, capturing a breath of Starfire within my hands. And as the wind, in fuming anger leaped about a sky of dusk, awakened in its wake the electricity of man, danced between the ruffled trees hidden by the heaven's light. Trembling earth shifted beneath my patterned shoe as I stole away my treasure to admire on my own before the gods begin to thunder and strip before my eyes a Starry Night not seen since before the dawn of time.
