The Significance of Sun and Moon
By MandyLeah
When the golden sun begins to set Its beautiful glaze captures my attention I stare at its reflection on the glittering ocean And I watch it dance gleefully along the water The sky is splashed with red, orange and pink And the colors begin to drip towards earth Touching every tree and flower Altering their hues Then the sun slowly drops into the ground And bright sparkling stars begin to emerge They sprinkle across the sky Spying on the inhabitants of earth The moon centers itself in the darkness As it glows over creation Whispering comforting words And guiding each and every lost soul home Then the soft sun reappears Peeking over a tangerine horizon Ready to gleam across the land Enveloping me in warmthTell me what ya think or give me opinions on how to make my poem better!
