' Time Runs Out '
By Marie3
Death held out its hand and beckoned unto you. You took his invitation and departed from this world. You disappeared from my life And left me here so cold. Every year I remember the day I lost your love. I stand over your grave and shower it with my tears. Running my fingers over the stone that marks your grave, The memories, our memories, explode within. I remember your smile and the light in your pale blue eyes. I remember looking into them and seeing the life that lived inside. But that's all gone now, Because you lived your life to fast. It seems you were here only for a minute. But in that minute you filled my life with love everlasting. I'll never forget you, or the love you gave to me. I'll keep it in my heart and I'll never let you go. Even though I can't see you, I know you're still around. And some day I'll join you; when my time on earth runs out. Written April 11th, 1997 © on Jan 15 2002 01:19 AM PST 18 • 0 • 1
