\"Words After Death\"

By Matthew K. Brown

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Taking time out from the heavens above To say goodbye to the ones I love I didn't want to leave, I didn't want to go Why I was taken, I guess we'll never know But Father don't mourn And please don't cry Look into the mirror My image is in your eyes As you look around this world, notice and see That now I'm apart of every little thing From the house in which I lived, to the sun's golden light I'm apart of everything, even the moon and stars at night But Mother don't mourn And please don't cry Look into the mirror My image is in your eyes Taking time out from the heavens above To give this message to the ones I love I didn't mean to leave, but this is not the end I know in time we'll be together again © on Aug 26 2001 06:34 AM PST   0 • 13
