Life Is A Game
By Maureen
Where is the score keeper? Who's keeping score? What are we all Competing for? Life is a game, But, nobody ever wins... We all lose in a big way As the grim reaper stands and grins. I want to go to a place Where my soul can be set free, Where serious thinkers play with ideas, And create new philosophies. Where time has no meaning, Where a day has no end, Where no score keeper is needed For there's no score to tend. This poem is about people who feel the need to compete, whether it be socially, intellectually, or even in the simple act of writing a poem. If we weren't so competitive, our stress level could be greatly reduced and we could know what it's like to live in a peaceful world.
