~MISTY~

I discovered Misty at a clinic for cats, I thought she was so pretty! A woman standing beside me said, "Look at her, what a pity!" Misty was very confused, But was as friendly as could be. When I sat and patted my lap, She jumped right up on me. Even though I knew she had problems, I took her with me that day. She knew she had finally found a home, I knew she was with me to stay. She was so sweet and gentle And patient as could be, She would sit by her food bowl and wait, Without making a sound, for me. I adopted a little kitten That harassed her constantly. Misty took it all in stride (Didn't have a mean bone in her body). I recently took her to the vet, He told me she had a tumor, She began losing a lot of weight, And slowly got weaker and weaker. When it appeared she was in pain, And she let me know with a softly uttered mew, I realized I had no choice, I knew what I had to do. I took her to the vet today, And tried hard not to weep As I picked her up and held her And had Misty put to sleep.
