The Forgotten Ones

By Maureen

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

It's so easy to be forgotten In this busy world of ours… So many thoughts Battle for dominance In overworked, overtaxed brains Small wonder that so many people Fall by the wayside… Never thought of, Nor remembered, Nor missed! What becomes of these Pitiful, wretched souls? It is as if they don't exist… Living their invisible lives Day after lonely day. Who will save them From obscurity? Will it be you? Will it be me? Wait and see… The only notoriety They may ever receive… Their names listed In an obituary. Written April 6th, 2002 © on Apr 06 2002 07:52 AM PST, Maureen Halasovski    0 • 1
