I Had A Dream Tonight-II (DREAMS SHATTERED)

As I walked towards the rendezvous, a voice inside me said That I am gonna meet someone special tonight, Someone who will rule my emotions, someone who will be my side. With feelings of mirth, I met my frens and as I turned around, I noticed someone moving, clothed in a red dress, Wearing the looks of a fairy with an immense depth in her eyes, With a charisma in her smile, with moonlight falling on her face. I was amazed to see that she was the girl I dreamed last night, She was the girl I wanted to find, she was the one that my heart seeked for. When I looked at her, I forgot all worldly thoughts and only love revolved around me, I wanted to tell her everything that I dreamed last night I wanted to hold her hands in mine and listen to another fairy tale, She was my dream come true. I kept looking at her, and I went near her, And the smell of her breath entered inside me and purified my soul, The magical feeling was felt again, I introduced myself to her and asked her name, Her music like words had a soothing effect on my heart. We danced to the tunes of our heart, I nervously held her hands in mine and looked deep into those twinkling eyes, Our eyes met and she flashed her sweetest smile, And I saw the harsh sun setting, and I saw tears of joy in the eyes of Goddess moon, And this time I did not hear the birds whispering but heard them singing, We kept on dancing and I dived deeper into her eyes. Everything was fine, the time was right for me and my feelings were sanctimonious But my mind was bemused, and my heart lacked courage, My mind wondered whether I should tell her all that I wanted to, My heart said maybe it was too early. Finally, I decided to make the first move, But, perhaps lady fate couldn’t stand my happiness, Perhaps she was annoyed with my laziness, with my confusion, And the girl of my dreams moved away from me saying she was getting late, Without having said another word, she withdrew her hands from mine, She ran away from there and I felt as if someone had snatched away my life from my hands, She rushed towards her car and moved out as hurriedly as she had entered into my world, I stood there shocked at what had happened so suddenly, I felt robbed off everything, I felt dead and numb. When I looked up at the sky, I saw the clouds had covered goddess moon, And no star twinkled in the sky, no birds sang in that somber atmosphere, But yes, I saw the tears, the tears rolling down onto the surface of the earth, The whole world had got dark, and my world was struck by a lightning, A lightning that hit me so hard that I have had numerous number of sleepless-nights. But I still seek for that girl, I still cherish the moment I spent with her, And I still know that someday she will be with me, someday she will be in my arms, Someday I will confidently hold her hands in mine, Someday I will kiss her and make her mine. But at this moment lying down on my bed, when I think of her, I again hear tears rolling down on the surface of the earth, I feel the wetness in my eyes, I feel the pain of my dreams being shattered, And I look outside my window and see lady fate laughing.
