Act Two
By Mouse Poet
As I am casually walking by I turn my head and see you there sitting all alone. As I start to approach I can hear you, softly crying into your cradled hands. I walk closer to you, and I can see a small pool of water slowly growing with each new falling tear. My heart melts and chills run down my spine and I place my arm around you. You turn and lay your tear softened cheek upon my shoulder. The sounds of your cries echo in my ears as I offer you words of compassion and sympathy. Then as your tears begin to slow and your cries fade away, I offer to take you home and you hesitantly accept.Believe it or not, there is an Act Three. IMO, it is better than Act Two.
