sand
By Mouse Poet
The night, dark and heavy, weighed upon my brow. The concerns of the eveningwere many, though one stood outabove them all.It was the passingof time. There was nothing I could doto stop it.All my attemptsended in failure,in aggravation,in agony. It just kept slippingthrough my fingers, yet holding me captive. Now as I am aged and tired,I am forced to submit to it's power.I am forced to watchthe grains of sand, slipping through my handsinto nothing.2001, Written November 14th, 2001 © on Nov 14 2001 12:38 PM PST 18 • 0 • 1
