The Dream

By Mouse Poet

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

If only I could dream of a time in spring when the days would last a thousand years, And the lovers would run as the children once done into the fields of butterfly wings. If only the rain could be sparse when it came leaving enough room for the rainbow, And the couples would sing with the birds of spring making a beautiful melody. If only I could dream of a time in spring when you could be with me forever. Written December 19th, 2001 © on Dec 18 2001 03:45 PM PST   18 • 0 • 8
