Good Night

By Mouse Poet

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

As the day fades and comes to an end, I close my eyes and think of the morning songbirds dancing and playing, singing to the rhythm of the winds. I think of the midday rains falling from the heavens and letting the droplets cleanse me with tenderness. I think of the sweet taste that comes from the blossoms of the evening clover. And I think of a starry night, seeing the lights of fireflies lining the shallow creek beds as they prepare for their winter sleep.
