A Little Longer
A Little Longer The ecstatic thrill of the weekend becons, Another wild night of sanity, In the company of one Who knows no blues, And chases my clouds away. In the newly found sunlight, I see her soft skin, Fantasize lips on mine, Though I know well, That my dreams are unbidden, And my fantasies forbidden. But paradox fades, In her sweet company, So I’ll labour somemore in confusion, Knowing soon my heart it will cost, Spend a little time looking backwards, At the beautiful gem long since lost. But my days are still haunted by grace, Staring out from her fair white face, A little longer I gaze upon heaven, A little longer warmed up by that star Written April 4th, 2002 © on Apr 04 2002 01:46 AM PST 0 • 8
