Hidden Hopes
'Hidden Hopes'Tense tears don’t fall, Yet still descend the mind, To touch their pools on the ground, Iced with apprehension, Numbing the Fear, Of disconnection. The atmosphere thick with unsaid thoughts, Of disaster struck, Still shaking the ground, Threatening hopes, Hid high in the clouds Of vunerable skyscrapers above. Hopes hid so high,They see a dawn or dusk, Longer or later than you or I, Can see, or believe. So why, if it’s true, That the light never dies, Should we not have faith, In the light of our eyes, And hope live safe, In our castles in skies Written September 27th, 2001 © on Sep 26 2001 06:42 PM PST 0 • 12
