No More Letters

By Nici

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

I'll send you no more letters While you wait in your cell. You'll have nothing to comfort you While you rot in times Hell. I'll send you no more pictures No more poetry will I give. The more I try to please you The more you refuse to live. I don't have to be pleasant I don't have to be gentle and kind. It's not my fault I love you And that you know nothing but crime. I cannot change your nature I have tried, yet only failed. I realize now you are happy Living life in an empty cell. I'll send you no more cards You don't care about the ones I have sent. These are things I will send you no more Until you are ready to call me again. They'll be no more emotions No feelings of love or hurt. You have lost my devotion To the one thing that makes you a jerk. All the poetry and letters I sent to you during our time. I tell you now, to detsroy them And leave what is left behind. Who will come to you when you are strung out Or when you have puked green bile? I can't imagine the poor soul Who will have to step up to you now.
