Blue One
I had an experience at the store today. I walked in, calm as could be and waited in line for it to be my turn. I peered into the glass cases, knowing what I was going to buy, but still seeking more. I wanted the blue one. I waited, and waited, and waited. Realising that they were now serving the people behind me, I was upset, hurt. I didn't know what to say. Do I say excuse me but it was my turn? Do I leave it alone and wait until the clerk notices me? Do I throw a fit and call the manager? I made a split decision and it went something like this. EXCUSE ME BUT I BELIEVE IT WAS MY TURN. but they ignored me and served yet another person from behind me. EXCUSE ME BUT I WOULD LIKE YOU TO SERVE ME OR I WILL TAKE MY BUSINESS ELSEWHERE. They at last glance at me, a fleeting glance... Little more than a nod... they serve another person from behind me. I believe at that point I became one of those rude obnoxious customers who no one wants to deal with. EXCUSE ME, AS I CAN'T GET ANY SERVICE WITH YOU I WILL TAKE MY BUSINESS TO ANOTHER ESTABLISHMENT. THANK YOU FOR THE WONDERFULL SERVICE AND HAVE A GRREAT DAY!!! I walked out of there with my head held high, on my way to buy the blue one from some where else. I felt discouraged and ashamed. I was feeling how they wanted me to feel for being different. I was letting them hurt me. I ran out of the complex. I hit up the Macs Variety and got a blue one. Realising that they cant hurt me unless I let it happen. No one should be punished for being different. Just because I like Blue Popsicles.I thought that this was just a funny little poem/ rant that I would share with you all Written January 17th, 2002 © on Jan 17 2002 01:43 PM PST 0 • 14
