There was no hope, He knew No way out. People all around him, Smug smiles upon their faces, Knowing they had unfairly won. They thought superior thoughts, And with such ignorance It is hard to make them change, He looked towards them And saw his own, He cried a tear for them. He turned back to the judges, And as the hammer blindly echoed, He fell to his knees, In disbelief. Are we that stupid ? Stupid to sentence our own. The simple answer Is yes.
