The Master and the Servant

By OnceUpon

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Please stop what you're doing, I need to talk about my troubles, And I need to talk about the things My friends do not need to know. Give me your innocence for just a while So that I can express how I feel For the others Which play a part in my life. Lend me your presence You do not even have to listen, But if you do then Show me your way. Why should I ask you? Because you are the one who is here, Even if you are not. And afterwards just walk away, And although I may not have said it, Think about what I could have announced. Written February 2nd, 2002 © on Feb 02 2002 06:14 AM PST   0 • 1
