Sonnet for a Grand Piano

By pianogirl

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

That keyboard dost beguile mine eye Dazzling so, the finish glistens Its length be grandeur, opened wide All grace and clarity to listen. Gentle touch brings sweeter tones Or lustful, yearning melody Love made whereon that touch be borne Or passion's rage in full intensity. To merge directly at the soul The music, instrument; with me What once was only part; now whole We fly; so great that beauty be.    Caress doth heavenly music make    A song conceived in loving's sake.
