Memories
Do you remember when things were so simple? When the hardest thing that we had to do was tie our shoe and memorize 2+2? When we thought we were immortal, and we were daring? Do you remember? Do you remember when school was easy, when we didn't care if we could drive? When the sunlight was our playmate, and the moonlight was a lullaby? Do you remember when our conscious played as our guide, and home was always a place to hide? Climbing trees, and building lemonade stands, picnics in the shade, and short sleeve shirts. When we didn't care what others thought, and love was something that would never hurt? Do you remember when there was always someone to watch over us, and keep us safe? When we dreaded the fall and winter to follow? When school was in, we dreamt of those days when we played.
