Off With The Head

I have a mission, so I’ve been told A princess was taken, I must bring her home Her hand is the prize if I win in this quest I need to prepare, I need to be bold Sir Grippon la Brogue is surely the foe My armor is on, my sword at my side This day will bring the start of my ride Titan my horse standing tall in the stall Is ready for action with snort after snort he stomps and he tromps his  eyes wide for sport Off to Glenellen I’ll get la Brogue His head will adorn a post on his land a warning to others disposed to his ways I approach through the forest, my blood is on fire I see Glenellen Castle, time to begin His dragon stands guard fierce to behold the Serpentine’s posted between the princess and I Titan moves fast as I swing my sword The dragon is dead its head on the floor. La Brogue comes out, ready to fight No chance I give him, I cut him down His head on a post a reward for his life The hencemen scattered with the point of my sword Glenellen is mine, my quest all but done A slash with my sword, the princess is free Her bonds lie in tatters at the soles of her feet She raises her arm, I lift her up Titan is ready his head held high Gently we canter, time to go home The princess then told me she’d promised her hand To Wilbur of Gayland the Prince of du Ponces In shock and distress I took off her head My sword has been busy I thought to myself Now back to the forest, no more of these quests Written March 11th, 2002 © on Mar 11 2002 01:05 AM PST   0 • 14
