The Keyboard Queen

By Quabben

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Have you heard her play her wonderful tunes? Her fingers just flow and sometimes fly, All over the keyboard so black and white. The notes that come out are the colors of song, Of music attuned to please the great throng. She’s the Queen of the keyboard and long may she reign. I can hear her sweet music, I can just see her smile As her hands move o’er the keyboard, such a nice sound. I am at peace with the tune that she plays. I am so happy I can hear it today. The tune of the keyboard it’s wistful yet gay. The queen plays it for me she has something to say, With her fingers like lightning and the thunder’s a song. The words are well written to lead me along. They take me straight to her in a rapturous mood. I just listen and sway to the lilt of it all, For I am in love with the Queen of my song.
