Searching
By Rainna
Every day of my life I feel a certain emptiness, A black void inside me that I don't know how to fill. I search for whatever it is; longing to find it, And search 'til I tire. I rest myself, then set forth again. I travel through strange and mysterious places, sailing treacherous seas. I climb snow-capped mountains and brave killer bees. I stop to eat and play awhile, then set out again, Down the majestic Nile. I stop to gaze into a little pond, While my mind wanders to things beyond. Then something catches my eye. I look and there it is! The center of my searches, the reason for my travels. I've found it, the reason I live! You....I wrote this poem when I was about 12 so it might sound a bit well young. But I didn't want to change it beacuse it has sentimental value to me. Hope you like it! :) Written December 29th, 2001 © on Dec 28 2001 05:44 PM PST, Rainna Stock 0 • 8
