Treasure filled vistas, though nearRemain unseen, untouchedWhispers of their reality fadeAmid a cacophony of earth bound chatterCreative potentials witherSiphoned off in purposeless dissipationCore disharmony stirsRegistering heart's dissentFrom credulity's perpetually open doorWearied with earth bound impositionDressed in pseudo-freedom's tawdry attireLonging for relief from mundane glorificationYet once again submerged in blind commonalityMarring identity by incremental defacementsUntil necrosis wears familiarityDeath made palatable by spoonfulsYet a heavenly root remainsSprouting quietly beneath the ruinsPatiently rejecting earthbound makeoversNever fully relinquishing the birthrightIn hope that beast will again become manUnbound and undefined by temporary statusOn earth but not of it Written October 11th, 2001 © on Oct 11 2001 12:11 PM PST, Bruce Newman   18 • 0 • 12
