Shades of Gray

Am I what you want me to be Doesn't matter if you tell Cause I'll never try, I'll never be anything but me We have huge authority figures, and they tend to be Very narrowminded, racist, discrimnative, sexist Ectetra,ectetra,ecectra To them there is black and white Good and Evil As told to them by generations before And tell the new generations again It leads you to Hating this world Cause we can't break the vicious chain Everyone seems to think everything is one-dimensional That between the black and white, not the shade of gray Look at him He is diffrent, very sardonic He stares at you the wrong way and you hit him Given no real reason Look at her she's a freak She's believes in witchcraft And has her own ideas, that vampires walk the earth Hey guess what, doesnt mean she is one Every human and non to think of it Have feelings beleive it or not Look at me I am usally hated or liked immeditaly I come up with my own theorys through ancestors, the bible everything I know I am hooked on Anne Rice, Edgar Allen Poe and watch a show About a vampire slayer and a vampire with a soul That could be the only reason you think I beleive In what I do, You look at me and the sivler necklace that rests on my Non-existant breasts And simple pentacle Its not inverted, it doesnt believe satanBut you see good and evil Black and white and figure I am on the wrong side Why don't people open there damn eyes What do you know about the long funky colored brown haired, green eyed Scrawny girl Or the quiet so called freak Open your eyes and don't judge someone by there looks No one is good No one is evil No is one-dimensinal except for maybe the devil No one is white No one is black but fall in array of colors From pigment to exxegrant souls Take off your damn glasses and look at true colors Yeah she may be a bitch But most likely there is a reason Yeah look at him, he's a prick But  you don't really know him Shades of gray We got to break Shades of gray Have always stayed If everyone could see outdie of he box even just for a moment Our world would benifit We are just leading ourselves lower and lower Sending men into a battle they'll never win centuries ago And centuries to come Teaching our kids these horrible things when the future lays in their(our) hands I am here to tell you I am not black and I am not white I am not perfectly good and sunshine But not evil coated in darkness Probally not even fitting in the one of the shades of gray I try to describe But I am me, and thats how it will always be Don't label, we all have something in common The day to day battle to make it through to try and understand why we are heare Next time you are to judge, shes a freak Satanic, he's stupid, she is a nerd, he's a prep Get to know them, understand why they are the way they are We all have a right to breathe the same air(or not breathe) this air to walk the earth Dont try to tell me why I wrote this just try to apply it to yourself Cause do you know what you are missing?
