You're welcome

I painted a picture of you. Gently laying each stroke with words like beauty, love, kindness and compassion. Funny how memories fade. As if you were a new person without the rage, the smirk. Had I remembered only the good, or forgotten the bad? Time heals all wounds they say, I'm not healed. I'll never be healed. Time will never take away those flashes buried deep in my being reminding me why we'll never be together again. You merely got lucky, looking good on the canvas of my carefully selected verbage. Much better than any mirror might have offered you. You're welcome. Written December 13th, 2001 © on Dec 12 2001 06:40 PM PST, Rick Merwin   0 • 1
