The Poppyseed Predicament
By Russ
There's a poppy seed, it's stuck in my tooth What is this all about? I've gotta go right home, take a piece of string, And floss the damn thing out. I've never endured such pain as this Could this be from a poppy seed? I take a glance in my rearview mirror It's a poppy seed indeed! Didjya ever choose a New York Style deli To fill your somewhat large and very hairy belly. A tough decision 'tween the tater Knish and Bagel I'll take a poppyseed, I said to waitress Mabel. So, I'm drivin' home to floss my tooth To extract that poppyseed. As a gosh darn lug nut flies off my wheel Toward a minivan from Tennessee. The minivan driver waves hello With her big fat middle finger. As my right front wheel shimmys and shakes Until it can no longer linger. Didjya ever have yourself a poppyseed That caused you so much pain and then some misery. All I did was have a bagel and cream cheese. Why'd I have to have the one with poppyseeds? So my Ford Explorer slows down fast And comes to a 3 wheeled stop. My fourth wheel continued to bounce and roll On the feet of an 8 foot cop. I said officer I'm so damn sorry My wheel met up with your feet. But I'm in a strange predicament And I do not need your heat? Yes that was a rather bad move on my part To disrespect a cop in front of Donut Mart He asked me for my registration and my VIN I said you have a little frosting on your chin. Before I knew it, he read my rights And threw me down to the ground As my face met up with a YooHoo bottle And I heard a horrible sound. You see the bottle busted my top front tooth As I proceeded to shout, Yee haw and a Yippie Ki Yay You knocked the poppyseed out! There's a poppy seed, it was stuck in my tooth, It's clear what it's all about Life, it has its God-awful days, But ya gotta take the poppy seed out! >>Request the song in mp3 format! russriba@hotmail.com Written October 4th, 2001 © on Oct 04 2001 03:09 AM PST 0 • 14
