A poem for Poetic Pixie.

We all want to be loved and most want to give love. We all want to be happy and  most want to bring  happiness to others. We live in a world where, unfortunately, selfishness driven by egocentricity makes people insensitive to others feelings. And sometimes it isn't the selfishness, but more of a preoccupation with what is going at the time that makes a person forget about another's feelings. Feelings are what show we care. They show that things matter to us. Without feelings, we may as well be robots. Live, love, laugh, cry, but most of all never give up. Never surrender to that which would steal your heart away and grind it up as if in a grabage disposal. When we give up....The devil  laughs.I posted this because I was moved to do so by visiting Poetic Pixie's most recent post. Well at the time I started writing this it was. Somehow I wish my words could not only convey my intent, but be lyrical as well. It seems to me that combination of the two would be the most awesome way to use words to impart one's innermost being to others. To get the true essence accross. This is helping though. The more I read the easier it seems to get. Thank you all. Written March 31st, 2002 © on Mar 30 2002 09:52 PM PST, Richard Vance Haeckel   18 • 0 • 8
