The soldier's dilemna.
By rvh1956
The screams of the wounded, seeing the carnage all around, not enough sleep, little to eat, at night shivering, in the day sweltering, the soldier is in a quandry. Should I carry on, knowing that this is going to worse before it gets better? Should I allow myself to get wounded, thusly removing me from the fray? Decisions to be made that will never be taken back, the soldier faces his dilemna. Putting all the questions aside, he relies on his training, he follows his orders, and he makes it through another battle. Then the soldier faces the greater dilemna, to continue on as a soldier, or get out. This was an attempt to paint a picture using as few words as I thought necessary. Also there is underlying message. :o). Written April 2nd, 2002 © on Apr 02 2002 12:49 PM PST, Richard Vance Haeckel 0 • 10
