My Son, My First Born

By San d

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

'My Son, My First Born'I carried you for nine months.I took care of you before you breathed. I would listen to your heart beat, protected you in my sheathe.I'd feel you move within my womb.I waited so impatiently to see your face.I couldn't wait to hold you,to fill my arms of empty space. To wrap you oh so close to meand hold you near my heart. To look upon my precious babeand know we'd never part.I've loved you from the momentwhen I felt you in my soul. This miracle inside of meis the one that made me whole.I've held you near my heart from the day that you were born.My son, my first born, so precious,my son that I adorn.I helped you crawl and helped you walkwith every step you made.It put a smile upon my heart and put the sunshine in my days.Memories of bumps, falls, and of tears my kisses would defeat.Even times I had to let you stand alone on your own two feet. The times I had to watch your pain with nothing I could do.You'll never know how much it torethis ole heart of mine in two.At times you had it rough I know, I tried to do my best.At times you had to struggle but I knew you'd find your quest.Your youth kept passing way to fast. The years have come and gone. You've grown into a young manHandsome, tall and brawn. These special words I write for you,are yours to keep for life.I love you son, my precious one,in our calmness and in our strifes. My son, my first born, so precious. My son that I adorn.By: Sandy/San-dDedicated to my first born son copyright@2001Sandy/San-d Written October 16th, 2001 © on Oct 16 2001 03:11 AM PST, Sandra Kay Ratliff   0 • 8
