'Old Sammy' When I was just a toddler, say four or five years old. We had a dog named Sammy who loved to watch us so. A Collie mixed with Shep with a shiny coat of gold. He loved to watch us as we played and he lived to watch us grow. We never had to worry if a stray came near our yard. He always kept an eye on us and always stayed on guard. He never let a stranger come near us as we played. And right within a few feet is where he'd always lay. I never will forget Old Sammy, when he looked into my eyes. With love that sparkled from with in the day he passed and died. It saddens me to think of him and all the love that Sammy showed.
