\"Under The Acorn Tree\"
By San d
"Under The Acorn Tree" All the golden leaves have fallen. It's time to rest our limbs. For time has taken a toll on youth under the acorn tree. Oh, I never knew the golden leaves, would one day fall and die. While playing under the acorn tree. I always loved to lie. We'd take the branches from the ground For our horse, this is what we used. We'd run and stride them through the woods to keep us all amused. We had only the acorn tree, to play among it's leaves. We'd romp and run and do our thing Under the acorn tree. It's acorns were our supper and its branches were our ride. All its leaves up toward the sky is where we'd hide for cover. Now just like all its golden leaves, it's time to rest my limbs. For time has taken a toll on youth under the acorn tree. Copyright@1996 Sandy San-d Written October 12th, 2001 © on Oct 12 2001 12:02 PM PST, Sandra Kay Ratliff 0 • 10
