'Winter Storm\"
By San d
"Wintery Storm" The shadows of the tree limbs dance upon on my walls The light of day shines through my window As the snowflakes begin to fall I hear the echos of the birds preparing for their tasks Getting ready for their journey to a place where they can bask The ground is softly covered now as the snow flakes keep falling down And the essence of this beauty brings on a silence to our town. The sun is slowing fading now as the day is winding down But the snow outside my window keeps falling to the ground. I sit and watch the children building forts and men of snow. I watch them make their snowballs and then watch them begin to throw. It brings a smile upon my face to see them full of glee I watch them romping in the snow that by now is to thier knees. I sit here at my window As thoughts run through my head In awe at this wintery bliss of the snow covered winters bed. Across the street I hear the sounds shovels scraping hidden concrete It's just a way for them to play and yet can be discreet. Something bout a wintery storm That brings a calmness to the air It makes me want to cuddle takes away all my despair. It makes me think of nature and all its wonderous ways For even on this wintery day A smile came my way........
