High Society
By sax angel
As you drive around in your fancy car do you ever stop and see the people who would never fit in your high society? The pregnant teenage dropout or the prostitute on the street who sells her soul for pennies so that her kids can eat? If perchance you notice, do you lend a helping hand? Do you judge and condemn or do you try to understand? Just pause for a moment and try to put yourself into their shoes. The life that you are given isn't always what you'd choose. The homeless may not wish to live in boxes or in cars, but still that choice is better than just blankets made of stars. The disabled veteran may not have any place that he can go, for he has seen and experienced things that you and I will never know. Are your children always clothed and fed? Do they sleep each night in a nice warm bed? Be thankful that you have been so blessed. Just don't forget to help the rest. You may not always be the one who is blessed.
