Run
Run A W A Y from me run all over me and don't look back for then you'll see the real me the tears I have cried they are yours you gave them to me and now I cry them for you you never did see me did you? look back you will not recognize me when you saw me then do you remember? when we were happy? You couldn't see my lips making words of caring of love just my tongue the needle of your addiction to K T I A S S T I I N N G G touching can you see I have a heart it may have been broken and bruised but it was full of the purest care for you "you're good" you say good for what? for my heart my dreams my emotions or good for my breasts my tongue things of rancid beauty objects of your desire I wanted to show you my soul but that is not what you lust to see is it? Someday I will be able to say "you're no good" I will be held in arms much warmer more caring then yours He will taste my lips AND the sweetness of my words he will hold me passionately in love not merely in desireThis poem was written from the perspective of a girl friend of mine who all too often gets objectified. Its a little long and redundant but I like the form and theme so I wanted to know what you think Written March 30th, 2002 © on Jul 08 2002 06:17 AM PST, Jeremy M Olson 0 • 10
