From This Angle

From this Angle I can see that that we'll be together in tomorrows renaissance and popular predictions sending blank messages in a bottle rewriting the history of our dark poetry when we could of been proud companions From this angle I can see that we could have been married couples in love wearing their hearts like a bage still dating because its feels new feeding ducks at seven springs picking out pumpkin and carving funny faces fighting just to make up talking things out Insteading of haveing the entire world as our mediator From this angle I can tell that we should have drank cheap beer in vermont slice after slice of lemon morange pie but we made excuses and never moved from the couch to the door never planted our family tree We had so many plans so many intentions but some how we got stuck trying and now we just stopped being human wanting needing more than a simple life We did what the world said we would do we gave up loving each other From there point of view the happy people are watching us try to pull through But what they really want to see is you cleaning up your act and me to stop licking the wombswritten during the hard times in my marriage Written November 16th, 2001 © on Nov 16 2001 10:49 AM PST 0 • 10
