A Dragon Tear

Look upon a dragon's face The long slender muzzle and strong jaw bone Look at a dragon's frame Strongly built armor proud pose and leather wings Look into a dragon's eyes Glitter swirls in pools of deep beauty Look deep inside a dragon's soul Loyalty, spirituality, love, and hurt Hurt for those who have killed it's kind Hurt for it can no longer roam free Look into a dragon's heart Purity at it's finest, not a speck of evil lingers here A dragon gives his heart to all who are willing to be accepting He asks not for a thing in return, but love Undying, unconditional, and true We have all denied the dragon it's right It's right to live free, it's right to survive And because of that the dragon has left us Gone to a far away galaxy where people cannot harm it The price of a dragon's hide was high And so they went on slaying it Did they stop for once to look into it's soul Not one would, for they feared it They never got a chance to see the true beauty I have, believe me I have My mate is a dragon, and there is not a more perfect match He is loyal, caring, and loving Just as he was in the past when his true dragon form Would fly up into the night carrying me safe And dreams unfold before me in this life Of nights we spent together under the stars Our love was unconditional Yet, people still call dragons a beast Evil, never pure, and killers Perhaps if they took the time to look into a dragon's eyes We would fly with them, hand in paw Paw in paw, into the night Soaring above the stars, a glimpse of heaven Upon fallen hope's regained wings Look into the dragon's eyes Peer past his heart and into his soul You will see tears of parting ways Because until we can understand and live in peace A dragon shall fly free of the harm we did unto itDon't know.. miss my mate Written February 11th, 2002 © on Feb 11 2002 07:39 AM PST   0 • 10
