Beautiful

Let us thank god for another beautiful day And as we pray Let us hope that it ain’t gonna be like yesterday Yesterday (heh) The day of the dead The day of the unknown The day that we dread Yesterday seems much like a dream One where you wake up in mid scream The sweat pours down your frightened face And your heart beats at a steadfast pace But this is'nt a dream There’s no waking up You can scream all you want But they don’t give a fuck How could they understand the pain that you feel They are too ignorant to see what is real Oh, its depression, it ain’t nothin new They give you some pills they think you’ll get through There is no replacing the loss that you had How can they sit there and say that you’re mad? They just don’t care They always have to have some bullshit notion You’re pulling out your hair They’re conjuring a new potion People are ignorant They’re in it for the money They don’t know shit Cuz for them life’s all honey I know different They can’t be goin through what I am Put me up on a table See how many pills they can cram For those whose lives are ‘normal’ This is so you can know All the pain that we feel And it only can grow But you fuck with us through pills Artificial medications It gives me the chills To feel my heart chasin Racin me for the chance to live Will I win Or will my heart give? Life isn’t fair is too sweet of words More like life kills And our souls flee like caged birds Off to where they can finally have peace You may think this is really grim But your medications Just did me inSorry about the profanity. I was very down when I wrote this. I wasn't going for grammer either. I was starting it out like the song 'changes' by 2pac... but turned it into a poem instead.
