A Time Forgotten

A time forgotten long ago When forests would flourish and pure water flow Creatures lived that man has killed A time of now forever lost skill Land untouched no barren land No fire broke out by human hand Animals lived in peace and harmony Back then all of them were free The wolves roamed lands not to fear That death by shotgun would be near There weren't fur coats or traps set Because nobody had thought cruelty up yet The rolling hills so soft and green Reflections of sunlight shone off clear streams The wind would whistle through the trees Sending about the wonderfully cool breeze The skies were blue with puffy clouds flying Everything was alive and nothing was dying The springtime rains were warm and pure If you were sick that was the cure The power to heal was in the earth And bestowed upon creatures at their birth The now barren lands were filled with flowers The earth itself held immaculate powers In the night stars filled the skies Everywhere one could hear the wolves' and coyotes' cries Oh how I wish I could go back to that time When my true wolf form was once mine And bask in the glow of the harvest moon Sleeping well past the afternoon Time didn't matter, there was no stress All around was happiness But the time has been forgotten by people today Except in my heart where it shall stayI tend to go back to this time in my mind when I'm feeling stressed about the day. Oh how I wish it was like that again where you didn't have to worry about school or work and didn't have to wake up at five in the morning just to get ready to go to someplace where they don't even care. *sigh*...
