The Call of the Spirits
By SilentWolf
Inside a soul the black wolf ran Completely untouchable by that of man With paws swiftly gliding across the snow Nowhere in particular did this wolf have to go Just running with the wind so swift Mother earth showing her beautiful gift The spirits howled in the midnight air Knowing the captor was running down there As the wind hit her fur she howled out loud Into the night and among the clouds The moon was so full and covered with lust The stars seemed brighter than golden dust Kicking up snow her spirits were high Side by side with spirits she seemed to fly Eyes wide open to take in the sight Of the grandest most beautiful midnight The trees seemed to bow in awe of the beauty The snow cleared a path through which she could flee Climbing a hill with spirits so fast The future now seemed a thing of the past Beyond wisdom and beauty lies the soul And at least once in life you must answer the call The call of the wild, the call of the earth The call of Mother Nature each time she gives birth And once you have answered the wilderness call You will find the truth in one and all *~*Silent Wolf*~* *~I have answered the call, now it is your turn~*Wow... this poem flew by... something in my spirit... AROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! Answer the call... Written February 8th, 2002 © on Feb 08 2002 06:27 AM PST 0 • 13
